O
ur portable programs can take place at any location with enough space to accommodate your group. We often run programs at conference or banquet facilities, corporate or academic campuses, beaches, parks, ... you name it! Check out these links for some of the facilities that refer APEX Adventures for their in-house groups. Please note that when you click on one of the links below, it will open a new browser window. • Seascape Resort - This luxurious full-service resort, perched on the coastal bluffs overlooking the beautiful Pacific Ocean, is one of our favorite locations for indoor and outdoor events, whether on the beach, the grassy bluff, or in one of their comfortable meeting rooms.

  • Kennolyn Conference Center - A private facility set in the majestic redwoods of the Santa Cruz Mountains, Kennolyn Conference Center, with its premiere executive challenge course and dramatic views of the Monterey Bay, is the preferred venue for the majority of our corporate ropes course programs.

  • Tenaya Lodge at Yosemite - Located just two miles south of the entrance gate to Yosemite National Park and surrounded by the Sierra National Forest, the Tenaya Lodge at Yosemite is one of our favorite facilities for our portable programs and Adventure Retreat packages.

  • Valley Lodge - Situated in the heart of Carmel Valley, the Valley Lodge is ideal for many of our groups looking for a quiet and relaxing venue that also affords opportunities to explore the wonders of the Monterey Peninsula and the beauty of Big Sur.

APEX Adventures proudly supports our local communities. Check out these links for some of the programs and organizations we are involved with on a regular basis:

  • Climb On - Their portable climbing wall is a valuable element for many of our events.

  • Challenge Works - Certified for ropes course construction and inspection by the Association for Challenge Course Technology, they build many of the courses that we operate. This link will take you to an email address where you can request additional information.

  • Earthtrek - They are our link for white water rafting expeditions and adventure retreats.

  • Sanctuary Rock Gym - Indoor climbing at its finest, this is where we conduct most of our indoor Supportive Rock Climbing programs.

  • Kayak Connection - our Monterey Bay Area kayak program outfitter.

Some of our programs combine experiential training with personality type indicators and thinking style assessment tools. The following link has more information on one of the instruments that we use

  • Herrmann Brain Dominance Indicator - Known as the HBDI, this is an instrument in brain technology used to determine individual thinking, learning, and interactive styles. Our APEX trainer for this workshop is certified to administer and teach this instrument and its applications.
